What to expect
To begin your excursion today, our driver will pick you up from your lodging in the morning. On this trip to the Atlas Mountains and the cedar forest, you’ll have the chance to take in the scenic splendor and clean air of the Middle Atlas region, which is 1,350 meters above sea level. First you will pass by the village of Immouzer. It is very charming and known for its tasty goat cheese. After that we’ll continue on to Ifrane, sometimes known as “Little Switzerland,” where you can stroll through its flower-lined streets and take in its French-inspired architecture. After exploring the city, stop for lunch at a nearby eatery where you can sample a classic Moroccan Tagine.
 
Learn about Azrou, your next stop, a 1250 meter-high Berber town. Watch the Berber men taking care of their animals, grinding grain, and honing their abilities, especially weaving and woodworking. While exploring the city. A bit further away is Morocco’s best-preserved cedar forest, where you can see jumping Barbary monkeys, feed them peanuts, and take snap pictures. After having this full immersion with nature, our driver will take you back to Fez and drop you off at your accommodation.
