What to Expect
In the morning, our driver will pick you up from your lodging in Marrakech to begin your day excursion to Ouzoud Falls. We’ll take a picturesque route there, passing through olive groves, palm orchards and historic settlements as you traverse desert slopes, we’ll pause to take in the scenery. Learn amazing details about the Ouzoud Falls. Hear how their name translates from the Berber language as “grinding grain” and how they rank as the highest free-falling waterfalls in all of North Africa. We will reach Ouzoud Falls, the highest waterfall in North Africa, after a three-hour trip. You can choose to stroll through the network of trails leading to the pools below the falls or to unwind by the pools while you are here.
If you’re fortunate, a lovely rainbow might occur at the base of the falls, and the local Barbary monkeys might show up to drink from the river. After relaxing, savor a delicious Berber lunch next to the waterfalls, which are flanked by oak, lime, and pomegranate trees. Later on, as an optional activity, you can take a boat ride or perhaps go swimming in the crystal clear water. We’ll return to Marrakech in the afternoon, and the driver will drop you off at your hotel.
