Essaouira is a popular day trip destination from Marrakech, once known as Mogador. What to Expect
In the morning after breakfast, we will head to the Atlantic Coast resort town of Essaouira. A leisurely three-hour drive through fields of argan oil trees, where we’ll stop to observe goats climbing the trees. Later, we’ll make another stop at a cooperative, women there produce Argan oil and we’ll discover the many uses for the priceless oil and how local women prepare it traditionally. Later, we get to Essaouira, a stunning city that is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Essaouira is a favourable vacation spot, the windswept fishing harbor features wide beaches, an old walled medina, and walls constructed into the cliffs, you will love it once you start exploring it. Stroll in the medina, wander along the beach or the ramparts, or stop by the harbor to admire the day’s catch and enjoy a delicious seafood meal at a nearby restaurant, every single part of this city will mesmerize you. We will take our car back to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
