This is a result of Morocco’s diverse culture and geographical position. It blends the culinary traditions of Afghanistan, the Mediterranean, and Andalusia. Tetouan, Fez, Rabat, and Marrakech continue to have the most well-known dishes and recipes in the kingdom in terms of regional cuisine. We recommend that you take part in this cooking activity with us and with renowned and experienced chefs. Prior to the practical portion, you will shop for the necessary items in traditional markets.
What to Expect
The Fez cooking class starts with a pick-up from your lodging and includes a fascinating tour to the Souk, a traditional Moroccan market where you can carefully choose the ingredients for a delicious meal. There are several options, including couscous, Moroccan tagines, pastilla, hot and fresh salads, bread, and more. Fresh meat, delectable fruits and vegetables, and the amazing blend of Moroccan spices will all be available for you to pick from. In addition to helping you gather the essential ingredients, our chef will take you on a detailed tour that will teach you a lot about Moroccan culture. The souks or markets are the ideal place to find the most enthralling Moroccan artwork and endearing handmade wares, which are expertly crafted to reflect the magnificent history and rich traditions of the real Morocco. You would undoubtedly fall in love with the ancient, alluring nation due to the vibrant souks, the friendly sellers, the affable people, and the stunning Moroccan touches tucked away in each souk’s corner.
Learn to Cook: In the next lesson of the Fez cooking class, our local Moroccan chef will demonstrate how to prepare some of the most delicious Moroccan dishes so that you can prepare your own in the most creative manner. With your talented Moroccan chef, you will have the chance to master the art of blending each ingredient to produce the perfect Moroccan dish, allowing you to taste the distinctive flavors and stunning beauty of Moroccan cuisine with each and every bite. Once you’ve finished eating on the riad’s terrace, the only thing left to do is to be driven back to your lodging by our driver.
